On Wednesday, December 18th, homeowners on Lake Hawkins will be participating in the Light Up Lake Hawkins Christmas Light Contest. Our RV park will be the finale point for the contest. We here at the Park also wanna LIGHT UP THE LAKE!
For visitors: Day pass/ entry will be waived for the dates of the 12/18-12/22 IF you bring a canned food per person… Donated to the local food pantry. Last year we received an entire trailer FULL of canned foods, probably close to 3 pallets FULL!
We are hoping to have pictures with Santa, a hot coffee & cocoa bar, s’mores around the fire, & maybe some local people selling goodies 🙂 (contact me if you wanna sell something).
RV owners can pass out pre-packaged Candy if they would like. But not necessary.
No homemade foods.
Tell all your friends and families to come bearing canned foods & support a good cause!
Party in the Pavilion
Voting and canned goods collection for the larger Lake Hawkins homeowners contest will take place at the pavilion from 4:30 to 7 on the evening of December 18th. So that will be the center of the night’s festivities…
Possibilities…
- Pictures with Santa (bring your own camera, we will have a cute set up for photo opportunity);
- Cookies, coffee and hot cocoa for sale;
- S’more by the campfire;
- Hayride that will take each new group around the park to vote on “Winter Wonderland” RV sites decorations;
- Pop up shop with locals selling their goodies. Contact the office if you have soaps, homemade goodies, or anything you might want to set up a booth and sell.
